Ford Motorsports and Roush Performance have joined hands in assembling a limited edition 2013 Roush Stage 3 Ford Mustang, which will be sold at an auction at the SAE Foundation's 25th Anniversary Celebration. Proceeds of the auction will fund SAE's education outreach programs.

The 2013 Roush Stage 3 Ford Mustang, a custom silver limited edition, will be powered by a Roush 5.0L Supercharged Engine that features the Ford Racing "Aluminator" long block, providing 625 hp of output and 540 ft-lbs of torque. The 2013 Roush Stage 3 Ford Mustang also features Roush tuned suspension, custom SVT GT500 track pack wheels, a customized Roush interior and Roush custom body components.

SAE will hold the live auction during its 25th Anniversary Celebration on May 16, 2012, Wednesday, at Ford Field. For those interested in bidding for this one-of-a-kind vehicle, they may contact Renee Hayes at SAE (724-772-8508) prior to the event. They may also attend the event to participate in the live auction. For those interested in bidding for the car but cannot attend the celebration dinner, they could still participate in the live auction by phone.

During the celebration dinner, SAE Foundation will honor Edsel B. Ford II with the Industry Leadership Award, as well as young individuals for leadership growth in the industry. Jack Roush, co-owner of Roush Fenway Racing, lauded SAE Foundation and Ford for their efforts improve young American’s skills in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education. The SAE Foundation has been one of the groups pressing for STEM education through curriculum development and activities from elementary to collegiate levels.
