According to the latest reports from several sources it appears that the so-called Lamborghini Murcielago successor a.k.a. Jota/Urus finally got a name: Aventador LP700-4. Same sources confirmed the fact that the car was already unveiled at a private meeting with Lamborghini’s selected customers.

The cars showed at Sant’Agatha Bolognese were painted in matte yellow and gray, but it appears that Lamborghini wants to make matte colors standard on its upcoming model.

Regarding the name, sources confirmed the fact that the Italian supercar manufacturer already registered in August the name ‘Aventador’.

Regarding the performances of the car, as it name says it, it will carry a 6.5-liter V12 engine delivering 700 hp and 680 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm, and it will be all-wheel drive.

According to another source, the engine will be mated to a new seven-speed single clutch gearbox with two automode and 50 ms shifts.

Due to the use of a carbon monocoque chassis and F1 style suspension on the rear, the car will be lighter with 229 kg comparing it with the Murcielago and it will be with 70 percent more right.

Thanks to the V12 engine, the car will be capable to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.9 seconds and will be able to deliver a top speed of 350 km/h or 217 mph. [via AutoGespot]
