Seat reveals the @Mii Special Edition

Article by Christian A., on June 20, 2012

If being unique is your thing, you may want to consider the @Mii, Seat’s version of its new city car. Orders can be made via a dedicated Seat website, specifically at an interactive portal on the automaker’s consumer website. It is offered in an exclusive Night Blue colour which matches the white alloy wheels and mirrors well.

It also comes with dedicated interior trim elements and Seat Portable System. This model provides an amazing value for money. An interactive discovery journey is launched by clicking on the link. Customers will be able to configure how they want their @Mii unit to be.

They could also share this with their friends. Those interested could pre-book the @Mii. In addition, direct links are available for the @Mii mobile app. There is also a Virtual Test Drive on Facebook.

The Mii Style Chic is the base of the limited-edition @Mii. The @Mii is painted in Night Blue and is equipped with a set of white 14-inch alloy wheels in the SILVA design, white exterior mirrors, which are heated and electrically adjustable.

@Mii logos can be seen on the sides. Its premium interior is practical and is designed for multi-media. To enhance its looks, it has "Candy White” trim elements, chrome accents, a special key cover design and a leather steering wheel and gear knob.

Standard equipment also includes the Seat Sound System, which has six speakers, and the SEAT Portable System, which has a specially designed cover for an easy-to-use audio, phone, navigation and on-board computer functionality.

The color 5-inch TFT touch screen is totally incorporated into its electronics but it could be quickly taken out at any time. The compact city car measures 3.56 meters. It is powered by a very advanced 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol engine with 55 kW / 75 hp. It has a combined fuel consumption of only 4.7 litres / 100 km and its CO2 emissions level is at 108 g/km.

Immediately recognizable - the Mii is surely noticeable as part of the SEAT roster. The front end shows the usual arrow look, while its features are identifiable by strong wheel arches and slim roof pillars.

The back portion reveals a new shape of light design with angular light units. The exact dimensions are 1.64 meters wide, 2.42 meters in length and it uses short overhangs back and front. The deep back end manages the Mii's exemplary interior space and enhanced functionality is key to being competitive in the super-compact class.

Head of SEAT Design Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos said that the Mii exudes the very core of its exemplary hometown, Barcelona.

It is contemporary and it has a powerful vibe, but it is not screaming for attention. The Mii has a feel of an innovative but classic product design. Each detail is accurately designed, but with just the right amount of lines. With the Mii, they are creating an athletic but sleek design that suits everybody.

Very precise and fully functional are terms that describe the interior vividly. The pristine ergonomics of the parts and the control factors fit wonderfully with the nice surfaces that can be individualized through a colored trim. The seats, which are also brand new, now have head restraints, giving a somewhat sports car aura, while offering comfort on a long drive.
