Skoda introduces Rapid StylePLUS Special Edition

Article by Anita Panait, on September 6, 2013

Skoda is introducing the ‘StylePLUS’ version of the Rapid, featuring a sporty interior with new decorative trim. Werner Eichhorn, ŠKODA Board Member for Sales and Marketing, remarked that they are expanding their range of well-equipped Skoda Rapid models with the StylePLUS special edition model to offer “the best value for money.”

The Skoda Rapid StylePLUS, derived from the ‘Ambition’ range, features design elements in black gloss finish, including the rear spoiler on the boot lid as well the covers on the exterior rear-view mirrors.

The special edition’s bars on the front bumper and side doors are also in black gloss finish. Interested buyers for the Skoda Rapid StylePLUS could choose from five body colors -- Candy-White, Sprint-Yellow, Corrida-Red, Rally-Green and Denim-Blue -- and six engine options. Skoda Rapid StylePLUS also features two-tone (black and silver) 17-inch ‘Ray’ alloys.

One could choose to equip his Rapid StylePLUS with new xenon headlights and front fog lights with the so-called ‘cornering light’ function. Inside the Rapid StylePLUS’s Satin-Black cabin, one could find sporty seat fittings with unique-shaped seats and stainless steel pedal covers as well as non-slip rubber surfaces.

Also offered is the Leather Package that includes leather-covered steering wheel, gear stick and handbrake. The steering wheel dons a piano lacquer finish that complements the new dashboard inserts in Piano-Black.

The Rapid StylePLUS features a sound system that includes radio/CD player, with sat nav ‘Amundsen+’ including DAB-Function coming as optional. The special edition could be powered by any of six engine choices: a 1.2 MPI (55 kW); two 1.2 TSIs with (63 kW or 77 kW with six speed transmission); a 1.4 TSI (90 kW with automatic DSG); two 1.6 TDI with (66 kW or 77 kW).
