2014 Skoda Rapid UK pricing announced

Article by Anita Panait, on November 7, 2013

Skoda has disclosed pricing and specification of the GreenLine versions of the Rapid and the Rapid Spaceback -- both powered by the carmaker's 1.6-liter TDI CR 90PS DPF diesel engine paired to a five-speed manual gearbox.  The Rapid Greenline and the Rapid Spaceback Greenline emits just 99 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometer and has an official combined cycle fuel economy of 74.3mpg.

With BIK values of just 11%, the vehicles are expected to appeal to fleet and corporate customers. Their running costs are further trimmed as each model is in VED Band A. Both the Rapid Greenline and the Rapid Spaceback Greenline feature 15-inch ‘Carme’ alloy wheels with low rolling resistance tires, front fog lights and sunset glass.

The cabin boasts of a height-adjustable driver’s seat, air-conditioning and a Maxi-DOT trip computer. These comfort and convenience features are in addition to the standard equipment already featured on all Rapid and Rapid Spaceback models like heated door mirrors, height-adjustable head rests and reach-and-rake adjustable steering wheel.

The Skoda Rapid GreenLine and the Rapid Spaceback GreenLine are available at price of £17,535 and £17,195 on the road, respectively. Interested buyers could order their units now, with first customer deliveries scheduled early in 2014. The Skoda Rapid is the seventh car in the brand’s range, and was the first car to be created with the brand's new design language.
