The Smart brand will celebrate a decade of UK sales by launching a new limited edition model, dubbed smart fortwo gb-10, which will be shown at the smart festival on September 4. The British division of smart confirmed that only 100 gb-10 units will be produced. Each will feature the unique 1 of 100 badging.
However, there will be variations in this model that will be segregated with 50 units of the mhd coupe, 10 units of the mhd cabrio, 30 of the cdi coupe and 10 of the cdi cabrio versions.
All will be equipped with a Pioneer AVIC-F910BT audio and navigation system, air conditioning, electric windows and Panoramic roof as standard. Its exterior and interior features are distinctive with the smart fortwo gb-10 receiving a variety of Brabus elements.
The gb-10 has a silver finish and also receives Brabus Monoblock VII 15 alloys, Brabus LED daytime running lights and Brabus LED third brake light. Meanwhile, the Premium interior package has been boosted by adding the gb-10 logo on the Brabus gear knob and handbrake.
For the interior of the special edition model, the gb-10 logo is seen on the Rosso red, heated leather seats. Leather is also seen on the door panels, kneepad and handbrake gaitor. Contrasting black Alcantara is what's used for the finishing of the upper dashboard while the instrument gets a silver border.
In a release, Gary Savage, Managing Director, Mercedes-Benz Cars said that the gb-10 edition is the perfect way to celebrate its presence in the UK, as it is one of the most distinctive and exclusive fortwo models ever produced but also represents the essence of the iconic brand.
Savage also revealed that over 75,000 smarts have been sold in the UK and that the gb-10 edition is a clear indication of how the brand continues to evolve.
The luxurious specification is expected to appeal to a wide variety of customers. With this model, the company aims to highlight its reputation for trendsetting, forward-thinking style. The smart fortwo gb-10 edition costs from £10,695 on-the-road.
