Smart ForTwo receives Hello Kitty body wraps

Article by Christian A., on October 22, 2010

Hello Kitty vehicle wraps for the smart fortwo can now be ordered through smart USA's "smart Expressions," a customization program that had its launching last July.

Kim McGill, smart USA's vice president of marketing, said that the company is expanding the smart program by adding licensed brands in its wrap offerings. The North American division of smart has teamed up with Sanrio to offer vehicle wraps featuring Hello Kitty for the smart fortwo.

The Hello Kitty wraps are available in three different full body designs, with each being offered in a selection of color schemes, aside from a range of partial wrap designs and colors.

Customers can choose from a total of 22 full and partial wrap design and color combinations. McGill said that the two companies see this as an opportunity to “bring the two fan bases together,” as they both have a “passionate following.”

Expect these Hello Kitty wrapped cars to draw in the crowds at numerous Sanrio 50th Anniversary events this fall. These customized cars can be viewed at different stops on the Small Gift mobile pop up tour, which starts in San Francisco on Oct. 23.

These cars will also be appearing at the Small Gift West and East Coast events that are scheduled from Nov. 12 to 21 in Los Angeles and December 2 to 5 in Miami.
