Spyker N.V. received a lot of praise for the new B6 VENATOR CONCEPT that it introduced at the Geneva International Motor Show. There was no shortage of positive feedback from the media which posted headlines like: “Spyker's B6 Venator Designed to Take Off," "Spyker's Back in the Hunt," and "Is This the Coolest Car Interior Ever?".
Spyker has confirmed that the SPYKER B6 VENATOR, which means hunter in Latin, will be built, launching the brand's global revival. The SPYKER B6 VENATOR CONCEPT –- a two-door compact sports car – will pose as an alternative in the High Luxury Sports sector.
It offers a rare combination of heritage, design, performance and exclusivity. If we exclude Spyker's GT endurance racers, the B6 VENATOR is the first Spyker to make use of an all carbon fibre body built on a lightweight aluminium chassis.
Powering the B6 VENATOR CONCEPT is a V6 mid-engine that’s capable of at least 375 bhp. It will start production in the first half of 2014, and it will kick off its distribution in Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and India.
It will then be sent to the US in the second half of 2014. Victor R. Muller, founder and Chief Executive Officer, said that undoubtedly, the SPYKER B6 VENATOR will be produced as the response to the model in Geneva had surpassed all their expectations.
He declined to provide the specifications for the production car but he did admit that the final design will be “very close” to the SPYKER B6 VENATOR CONCEPT and that it will be instantly recognizable as a Spyker.
