Suzuki offering Alto SZ at only £5,995 VAT free until September 30

Article by Anita Panait, on July 7, 2012

Suzuki is now offering its Suzuki Alto SZ city car for just £5,995 VAT free from July 2, 2012 to Sept. 30, 2012. Suzuki’s offer represents a £670 customer saving over previous Alto campaigns. Suzuki’s latest offer is aimed at further increasing the company’s sales into Quarter 3, which are currently over 18 percent or 1,700 units up year on year to date. Suzuki expects to sell around 8,000 Alto units for its full fiscal year.

The Alto is also Suzuki’s second most popular model in the range, having more than 63 per cent of potential buyers purchasing the model after test driving. The carmaker designed the Alto to meet the lifestyle needs of today’s motorists as well as to meet the demand for vehicles that are environment-friendly, as evidenced by the car’s fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions figures.

The Alto Minor Change model is now fitted with Dual VVT for greater engine flexibility and response. This allows a further cut in CO2 emissions as well as improvements to fuel economy.

The Alto is powered by an engine that provides 90Nm/66lbft of maximum torque at 3,400 rpm and an EC combined fuel consumption of 65.7mpg and CO2 emissions of 99g/km. With these figures, Alto has become one of the cleanest petrol-powered city cars in the UK.

The latest Alto model features new design interior colour and fabric trim. It also sports new full wheel covers for SZ and SZ3 models and a dipping rear view mirror.

Buyers could also now choose Glistening Grey metallic as an optional colour. Since the Alto emits just 99grams of CO2 per kilometre travelled, it is exempt from the London Congestion Charge, which gives a potential annual cost saving of £2,600 to a commuter who travels to the Capital five days a week.
