Teaser sketch of 2011 Ford Territory released by Australian division

Article by Christian A., on December 16, 2010

This is the first teaser sketch for the 2011 Ford Territory. The sketch was released by Ford's Australian division but so far, the company has not provided plenty of details. What we know so far is that the crossover will have a kinetic design that seeks to offer a glimpse of the future of Ford's global SUV styling.

What this suggests is that numerous design elements will be carried over to the Escape/Kuga replacement that’s expected to arrive in 2012.

Its engine options will be similar to what’s offered in the Falcon. But what’s surprising is that for the first time ever, the Territory will be available with a turbodiesel.

Bob Graziano, President and CEO of Ford Australia, describes the 2011 Ford Territory as “exceptional” and with an “exciting new look and will boast an extensive list of technical highlights.”

He said that the Ford Australia team will take the Territory to an “all-new level of performance, refinement and quality,” which customers will “definitely experience.” [via worldcarfans]
