Toyota introduces the 2012 Camry SE Sport Limited Edition

Toyota said that by Labor Day weekend, the new 2012 Camry SE Sport Limited Edition four-cylinder model should already have arrived at its dealerships. The new Camry SE Sport edition is offered with an attractive equipment package of a Camry mid-size, four-cylinder sedan for a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of $25,995.

These prices exclude a Destination Preparation and Handling fee. The Camry SE Sport features a set of 18” alloy wheels with smoked finish, 8-way power seat, power sunroof, and Display Audio (6.1-inch touchscreen) with Navigation and Entune.

The exterior colors available for the Camry SE Sport include Barcelona Red, Attitude Black, and the Blizzard Pearl, which is a limited production model with a choice of either black or black/ash interior. This color is offered for the first time on the newest Camry model.

Toyota will start producing the Barcelona Red and Attitude Black models on August 6. The Pearl White will only available for three months from the start of production on September 12 until November 12. Toyota’s Kentucky plant manufactures all types of Camry sedans.

Toyota Camry, which is now in its seventh generation, continues to be America’s bestselling car for over a decade now. Its 2012 version features a sophisticated and valiant new design combined with a wide interior, new and improved dynamics for driving and a quieter ride like never before. The Camry models are known for advanced safety measures and this new version is no exception. It is also equipped with exceptional fuel economy as well as an improved multimedia technology which all result to the best version of the Toyota Camry ever.

First presented in 1983, the Toyota Camry is set to create the prototype of a modern midsize car while setting standards in quality, reliability as well as dependability combined with a quiet and comfortable ride. Since then, Toyota has sold Camry units totaling more than 15 million all over the world.

Toyota’s Division group General Manager and Vice President Bob Carter said that this new version’s core values include efficiency, safety, reliability as well as comfort all combined with an appealing driving experience. For years, the competition has been fierce in the midsize sedan segment and this new version is designed particularly to keep Camry on the top of the race.

This version offers as well three powertrain choices, which all provide a better fuel efficiency and a more proactive performance. All models are equipped with the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that provides 178 horsepower (a nine hp increase) and a peak torque of 170 lb.-ft. The EPA-estimated figures for fuel economy are 25 mpg for the city, 35 mpg for highway, and 28 mpg when combined.
