Mazda will commence sales of the 2015 Mazda CX-5 in the United Kingdom in spring this year, with prices ranging from £22,295 to £30,595 on-the-road (OTR). The 16-strong Mazda CX-5 model range features upgrades in both interior and standard equipment specification.
Customers could choose from three 2.0-liter petrol two-wheel drive variants fitted with six-speed manual transmissions, and thirteen 2.2-liter diesel versions equipped with a either a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox.
Peter Allibon, Mazda UK Sales Director, remarked that no other vehicle in the Mazda range demonstrates the value of SKYACTIV more clearly than the Mazda CX-5, noting that the technology allowed the carmaker to build a compact SUV that is fuel-efficient and emits less carbon dioxide without sacrificing performance and driving dynamics.
Mazda more features to the already inclusive standard equipment specifications like manual front passenger seat height adjustment, an electronic parking brake, a coming/leaving home headlamp function, and the Multimedia Commander. It also features a new 7-inch, full-color center console touch-screen that integrates DAB radio, two ports for USB connectivity and MZD Connect, which allows one to access the Internet and social networking services.
The range could be availed in three grades; SE-L, SE-L Lux and Sport Nav. The range-topping Sport Nav models offers new exterior features like 19-inch Gunmetal alloy wheels, LED headlamps including LED daytime running lights, and LED foglamps.
Mazda is adding a new Integrated Navigation system that offers greater accuracy and improved search features as well as three years of free map updating.
