Vauxhall offers post-Christmas 20% discount for most models

Vauxhall is offering a 20% discount on nearly all its new models only a little over a week before the new VAT rate of 2.5% kicks in on January 4, 2011.

The offer, named ‘Vauxhall Countdown’, shaves 20% off the list price, before options, on most of Vauxhall’s most popular models. The discount is available on new cars bought between December 27, 2010 and January 31, 2011.

If you were thinking of getting an Astra 1.4 (100PS) Exclusiv, a popular model in Vauxhall’s best-selling range, you’re in luck as with this offer, you save more than £3,190.

Opting for the Agila range represents savings that begin from £1890. Buying any model from the Corsa range will let you save up to £3400. Vauxhall obviously wants you to splurge as the discounts are higher when you move up-market.

It hasn’t been a month yet since the Astra Sports Tourer was launched but Vauxhall is already offering very attractive discounts of between £3,300 and £4,685.

Hurry as this might be the only chance you get to buy the range-topping Insignia VXR for only £26,150, after having its road price cut by £6,165.
