Volkswagen is bent on offering a midsize sedan that’s focused on the American market. It has modified its 2013 Passat, which will be produced in the U.S. Its base price is higher by $850. The SEL trim models are equipped with rear-view camera as standard. Increasingly more cars each year have been offering this safety and convenience feature.
The 2013 model will also be getting cup holders in its center console that could fit drinks in various containers and sizes. This console will also feature rear seat air vents and a modified front stowage area.
The 2012 Passat had undergone major modifications to make it more appealing to U.S. consumers. The risks paid off as the model has been very successful. While VW isn’t convinced that this model could outperform cars such as the Toyota Camry, it is optimistic that these revisions will help its status.
