Volkswagen planning to add thousands of sales and marketing jobs

Volkswagen announced that it is planning to add thousands of sales and marketing jobs, and that the dealership employment must grow. According to an internal memo, the German manufacturer plans to bring 4,700 additional employees on board, in order to improve customer satisfaction. In order to do this, Volkswagen will add more than 15,000 employees in its dealerships.

By 2018, Volkswagen brand will have a total number of 290,000, which means that the manufacturer will add more than 40,000 new jobs, says Autonews.

Why is 2018 so important? Well, the German manufacturer wants to become world’s largest car manufacturer and overtake Toyota.

In order to achieve this title Volkswagen is also planning to add new models to its lineup and revealed the fact that at this year’s Geneva Motor Show in March, it will unveil up to 7 new concepts.

Moreover, the German company is also planning to introduce new Porsche models, such as the Cajun crossover which will be based on the Audi Q5, a new entry-level sports cars cheaper than the Boxster as well as a targa version of the Cayman.
