Volvo Cars is launching a XC90 Signature Edition as it retires the current generation of the Swedish sports utility vehicle. The current generation XC90 is bound to be replaced by the next-gen model that is due at the end of 2014. The XC90 Signature Edition is a range-topping variant of the SUV based on the R-Design trim level featuring additional equipment like an RSE multimedia system for the rear seats, Volvo Premium sound system and RTI navigation, as well as electric sunroof, heated front seats, leather upholstery, aluminum inserts and electrically-adjustable rear seats.
The exterior of the XC90 Signature Edition features aluminum touches on the mirror caps, engine protection panel, rear diffuser, roof bars and side skirts. The XC90 Signature Edition also features 19-inch Ixion alloys, xenon headlights and tinted rear windows.
The XC90 Signature Edition can be availed at EUR62,850, but reflects a EUR2,595 savings over a regular XC90 specified with all the features and equipment the Signature Edition has. Volvo has also allowed dealers to offer significant discounts, since the next-gen XC90 is now nearly due.
