Volvo will be offering an exclusive and luxurious version of the Volvo XC60 -- the XC60 Inscription. The XC60 Inscription is specifically designed for customers who want a more luxurious and personal touch to their XC60s. The luxurious seats of the XC60 Inscription, defined by fully upholstered in fine semi-aniline quality leather, is available in four colors: Marble White, Toscana Tan, Off-black and Soft Beige.
A customer could choose to match the seats with either an Off-black or Sandstone Beige interior. The XC60 Inscription package also showcases several interior features with additional options like the charcoal headliner, special effect paint and 20-inch wheels.
According to Doug Speck, Senior Vice President Marketing, Sales and Customer Service at Volvo Car Corp, the XC60 Inscription is the company’s way of allowing customers to give their cars a personal touch according to their exclusive, individual tastes.
Another example of how a customer could personalize his XC60 Inscription is by getting any or all of these options: Inscription Charcoal headliner, Inscription Electric Silver exterior color or Inscription Avior 20'' wheels.
The Inscription is seen a response to the strong performance of the XC60 in 2011, with nearly 100,000 units delivered to customers all around the world, making it the company’s top-selling model last year.
Speck said Inscription version of the XC60 makes the company’s offer even stronger. An XC60 buyer could choose from engine options offered for the Volvo XC60. Volvo will unveil the Volvo XC60 Inscription at the Leipzig Motor Show in June 2012. The XC60 Inscription is available across the globe with local adaptations.
The Volvo XC60 has signature XC design characteristics, mixing passenger car and coupe dimensions, shapes, as well as other known Volvo design touches. The formula-drive stance from big wheels in each corner lifts the visual platform and gives it a high waist, giving a durable and vigorous impression. The V-shape design from the LED lights, front spoiler, and bonnet, continues all the way back.
The micro-optics and LEDs of the tail lights characterise the rear design. The lamps distribute light in a unique Volvo design.
Integrated roof rails
The solidly fitted roof rails, built in at the factory, make an impression whether in standard Charcoal or optional Silk Metal.
The innovative front structure has deformation zones made from different grades of steel, each having a specific response to a collision to help increase protection from a frontal collision.
The side structures also are made from different grades of steel as well as tubes and members that are all engineered to shift the body, reducing risks of intrusion into the passenger compartment. Volvo's Side Impact Protection System helps to absorb forces to keep adequate space for passengers.
Lower cross member
A lower cross member supplements the front structure. This modifies the front to a normal passenger car’s height, enabling the other car's deformation zones to perform as intended to protect the vehicle’s occupants.
