An independently designed prototype patterned after the Cobra replica chassis has come out and it‚ called the Bailey Blade. Neal Bailey is responsible for developing the car, who has financed the project since July 2007 himself. There are reports saying that Bailey has found a financier for the project and he will be coming out with three prototypes in October of this year. The Bailey Blade concept car comes with adaptable, autonomous suspension and several powerplant ranges like a small-block Ford V8 and units from BMW, just to name a few. Roush-tuned Ford V8s will be installed in the prototypes that can produce 550bhp and can accelerate from standstill to 60mph in just 3.5 seconds. Also included in the design features are a broad range of seat adaptability to accommodate drivers of varied shapes and sizes.
