Although nothing is for sure, it appears that Bentley is considering adding a four-seat sports car that will use Volkswagen Group’s architecture, engines and components. If built, this car could go on sale in 2015 or 2016. A crossover built by Bentley will go on sale in 2014 and this vehicle will borrow the platform used by the Audi Q7 and the Porsche Cayenne, while under the hood it will carry a powerful V12 engine. Moreover, the British sports car manufacturer is expected to add a convertible version of the Mulsanne, which will be the successor of the Azure, as well as a new coupe based on the same sedan.
Still, don’t expect these cars for at least two years. A long-wheelbase version of the Mulsanne is also being considered, but this car is expected to come within the next two years. Regarding the Continental range, the redesigned Flying Spur sedan is expected to be introduced in 2013, while the Speed high-performance models in 2014 or 2015.
A hybrid version of the Continental has been discussed, but nothing was confirmed yet. The Continental GT and GTC are also expected to receive a new 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 found on the Audi S performance models. [source: Autonews]
