Bentley considering a rival for the Porsche Panamera

Due to the impressive sales of the Porsche Panamera, it appears that Bentley is seriously considering a rival for the German car, a five-door fastback to the next-generation Continental range. According to a source from Bentley, it seems that a sporty hatch will also be less expensive than the traditional four-door saloon. For those who don't know, back in March at the Geneva Motor Show, Italian styling house Touring Superleggera revealed the Continental Flying Star, a three-door shooting brake version on the Continental GT. Regarding this version, sources say that Bentley would actually prefer a five-door version because it will be more practical. The next-generation Bentley Continental will go on sale in 2012.
