Bentley considering Continental Supersports Convertible

2011 Continental Supersports Convertible

At this year's Geneva Motor Show, Bentley launched the brand new Continental Supersports Coupe and we thought this is the last model from this series but it appears things are not like this. According to the latest reports, it looks that the British manufacturer is seriously considering a convertible version of this coupe. This new car will be the eight Continental model and will carry the same 6.0-liter W-12 engine capable to deliver an impressive 630 hp at 6000 rpm and 800 Nm of torque at 1700-5600 rpm. With these numbers, the coupe can hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.9 seconds while the top speed is limited electronically to 329 km/h (204 mph). The convertible version is expected to lose some weight which means that we will see some improved performances. As you may know already the Continental Supersports was priced at $267,000 so, if built, expect the new convertible to be even more expensive! More details to be revealed!
