Bentley Continental GT Birkin Edition
The tuning specialist MTM has come up with an upgrade for the Bentley Continental GT that significantly improves on the original. The MTM Birkin package has boosted power to 650hp, a 90hp increase, from the large V12 powerplant, and top torque has consequently been raised to 587lb-ft. These performance numbers are enough to bring the MTM Birkin Edition Continental GT to 62mph (100km/h) from standstill in only 4.9 seconds and on to 124mph (200km/h) in 15.9, a full three seconds faster than the factory model.
With 205mph (331km/h) maximum speed, which has never been rivalled since it recorded it three years ago, the tuner claims the title of the fastest Bentley in the world. The additional performance was squeezed out from the Continental GT through exhaust improvements, retuned engine and some undisclosed adjustments.
Included further in the performance package is a singular F-Cantronic system that integrates an electronic lowering system that brings the ride height of the Bentley by 35mm at the back and 24 up front. Stopping power comes from gigantic 412mm brakes with six-piston callipers. The Bentley sits atop 21-inch alloy wheels with vintage design to match the classic-modern lines of the car. Besides these revisions and improvements the exterior and bodywork remain the same as in the production model.
