Bentley Motors has formed a new exclusive sales unit in one of its significant markets, Russia. The sales unit, Bentley Russia, is part of the company’s plans and efforts to further strengthen and expand its presence in the Russian market. The creation of Bentley Russia is also aimed at attracting new customers and improving the brand experience for existing Bentley owners. Guenter Behringer, Head of Bentley Russia, said the company sees major opportunities to expand its market and hike sales in the country. Behringer remarked that the unit’s goal is to maintain the loyalty of existing clients while attracting new ones. He believes that the creation of the unit will further fortify Bentley's leading position in the high luxury car segment. The company’s two official dealers in Moscow and Saint Petersburg continue to operate with Mercury. Bentley Russia's expansion plans are prompted by the company’s recent sterling performance in Russia. Bentley reported a 45 percent increase in sales in Russia in 2011, catapulting the carmaker to its position as Russia’s best-selling luxury car brand. Bentley is scheduled to showcase its current model line-up – which includes the new Continental GT V8 and the Bentley Mulsanne that comes with the new Executive Interior Specification (EIS) -- at the Moscow Motorshow on August 30 to September 9, 2012.
