Alasdair Stewart, Bugatti’s sales and marketing boss, will replace Bentley's sales and marketing chief Stuart McCullough who left by mutual consent. In 2006, McCullough resigned from being Lexus’ director in Europe to move to Bentley. Steward returns to Bentley after six years, at which time he served various roles within the Volkswagen Group, which owns Bentley and Bugatti. In 1994, Stewart joined Rolls-Royce Bentley Motor Cars, after his early career in the automotive sector, including Toyota. From 1998 to 2004, Stewart held the position of regional director for Bentley North America. Upon returning to Europe, Stewart was given the task for marketing strategy for VW's luxury brands, before transferring to Bugatti in 2005. Stewart’s new role took effect on Sept. 1. He will watch over all of Bentley's sales and marketing activities, including marketing, branded goods and global sales and after-sales. He will also oversee relations with Bentley's global dealer network.
