Bmw and Mercedes-Benz to use Intel Atom processors

BMW Logo

Bmw and Mercedes-Benz announced that they have chosen Intel to supply them with the so-called Atom processors for onboard systems of some of their newest models. This means that the brand new Bmw 7-Series, the 2010 Mercedes-Benz S-Class but also the C-Class will now carry Intel Atom processors, known as the smallest chip from Intel. The reason is simple: these processors need a small amount of power to work with and they are powerful enough to be used for the onboard computers.
