BMW announced through a press release that it will permit owners to acquire extensions to its maintenance program, a standard service on majority of BMW models which offers free 4 years or 50,000 miles free maintenance services. The extension involves an increase of terms to 6 years or 100,000 miles. Any owner can buy the extension within their original maintenance program or have the period to enroll the car extended to 5 years or 60,000 miles for a fee. Contingent on the model owned, the extension is priced between $1,395 and $2,995. All BMW vehicles in the US, except for the Alpina B7, are eligible for the program. The carmaker lately made the standard free maintenance services available for M3, M5, M6 and Advanced Diesel variants. The upgrade for the maintenance program can be acquired from any authorized BMW center beginning this month. The program consists of maintenance services like oil changes; oil and air filter replacement, vehicle inspections, brake pad and disc replacements, brake fluid replacement, engine drive belt replacement, windscreen wiper replacement and spark plug replacement and many more.
