BMW will start production of 150 units of its new matte-finished Frozen Edition models in Red, White and Blue in January 2013. This is your chance to grab one if you missed your chance when BMW offered just a handful of Frozen Grey and Frozen Black BMW M3 models in the U.S. The Frozen Edition models have an official MSRP of $76,395 (which includes destination charges). All Frozen Edition models have the Competition Package as standard with the 19-inch matte black wheels, electronic damper control, and lowered suspension. It also gets the Premium Package that includes Black Novillo leather with color contrast stitching matching the exterior color, carbon leather trim, high-gloss black kindney grille bezels, side vents and rear exhaust tips, a carbon fiber roof panel, and a standard six-speed manual transmission. If the car is meant to be used more on the road than on the track, the 2013 Frozen Edition models will be available with an M-DCT dual-clutch transmission as an option. They’re also offered with these options: the cold weather package, heated front seats, rear spoiler delete, satellite radio, moonroof and rear spoiler delete. The vehicle can be delivered at either in Munich or at BMW’s Performance Delivery Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where buyers could take part in the BMW M driving school.
