The BMW F 800 R will have its visual makeover in time for 2012. The model has been impressive since its launch in May 2009, with its sporty performance statistics, remarkable agility, and light-footed handling coupled with very low fuel consumption. Technically, the revamped F 800 R will keep its well-proven concept. The engine will still be the liquid-cooled parallel twin with a capacity of 798 cc and 4-valve technology. This highly distinctive engine produces remarkable pulling power, a low level of fuel consumption and a spontaneous response.

The engine output is 64 kW/87 bhp at 8000 rpm, providing a torque of 86 Nm at 6000 rpm. The highly dynamic design of the BMW F 800 R now showcases the sporty flair and agility of the model even better than before. The front side trim sections have been revamped, serving as radiator covers and are now finished in body color.

Additionally, the rear spring strut is finished in red, highlighting the sporty character of the bike. The white direction indicators and the Sport windshield finished in body color are now standard equipment of the new F 800 R, which is available in three color combinations. These color schemes are Alpine white/Black satin gloss for uncompromising dynamic performance; Magma red/White aluminum metallic matt for sporty and provocative style; and Mineral silver metallic for a refined, technological appeal. The price in Germany is 8,400. - euros incl. 19 % VAT, and the model will be available in December 2011.
