Bmw M3 GTS
This is the new BMW M3 GTS, which is said to be meaner than the highly aggressive BMW M3. The pictures show an orange painted car with numerous matt black applications. The GTS rides on 19-inch tires with ample 225/35 tires at the front and 285/30 at the rear.
Through the spokes of the rims, there is a generously sized fixed caliper brake system with six pistons at the front and four at the rear. In addition, yellow springs with a small M logo indicate that the suspension is new -- adjustable in compression and rebound. A BMW engineer familiar with the vehicle said that the rear axle support is bolted in place.
Downforce levels increased, as the new M3 GTS has adjustable front splitter and rear wing.The serial production BMW M3 is weight-optimized with a whole range of measures reserved for the BMW M3 CSL in the last model. The striking carbon lightweight roof is one such example. Moreover, the car uses light body-contoured seats.
Looking closely at the vehicle, we can see the optimization of the insulation, the use of lightweight parts in the interior, the use of Macrolon for the car's windows in the back, the lack of air conditioning, navigation and radio and the entire rear seat. The car is 190 kg lighter than the M3 model. The M3 GTS has been fitted with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission with new shift characteristics and a power unit based on the M engine: 4.4 liters and 450 bhp. The car is priced at about 115,000 euros ($170,000). Deliveries begin in May.
