The tuning specialist G-Power has taken an interest in the latest 420hp V8 Bmw M3. G-Power, however, has only given the car some somewhat subtle improvements, the most remarkable of which is the addition of custom-built light supercharger from ASA (which are also used by Alpina) with a boost of 0.3 bar. Together with the new intercooler and performance exhaust system, the 4.0-liter V8's power output has been raised to 500hp and top torque, which was originally 400Nm has been raised by 80Nm more.
The tuner claims that the supercharged M3 Coupe that comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox can sprint from 0-200km/h (124mph) in only 13.5 seconds in contrast to the 15.8 seconds of the regular M3. The electronic speed limiter can be removed as per customer request, in which case the car can reach a top speed of 320km/h.
Equipped also with a height-adaptable coil-over suspension with a total of nine settings for bound and rebound and tires from Michelin Pilot Sports measuring 255/30 ZR20 for the front and 295/25 ZR20 for the rear wrapped around 20 inch Silverstone alloys. Complimenting the package is a new four-pipe stainless steel muffler, or the optional titanium version which weighs 14.5 kg (32lbs) less than the factory component.
