An official voice from BMW has recently declared that the company is planning to reinvent its 3-Series range and to orient the next generation into premium products, translated in environmental friendly vehicles. One of the main goals of the new positioning of BMW brand is to retire from Formula One by the end of the year. The next generation 3-Series is scheduled for the official reveal no sooner than 2011, at the Paris motor show.
The new versions will pioneer the automotive market with the introduction of the 3-cylinder engines and will show a class-leading aerodynamic looks.
Major upgrades and modifies will be made also at the electronic part: a new climate control system will be completely reconstructed using a new technology and the engineers are planning to finalise the new Efficient Dynamics fuel-saving technology to stand for its new environmental militant statement. In some years we will probably witness the complete electrification of the new 3-Series.
