Bmw preparing a 320 hp M135i hatch

2012 Bmw 1-Series

A BMW M135i hatch will be arriving next year, according to Driving-Fun. This was revealed during a recent BMW dealership presentation in Netherlands. BMW faced the challenge of making the old sporty version of the 1-Series hatch attractive to consumers. It offered a power level that’s comparable to that of a sports car. But it was very expensive, it didn’t have much of an appeal and it was crammed.

BMW is hoping that it will be different this time around with the arrival of the F20 generation of 1-Series. This car can deliver 320hp from its N54 twin-turbo straight-six 3.0-liter, the same one used on old 135i.

The difference is that its output was increased from 306 hp in the old one to 320 hp to the new one. It will come with a wider track, stiffer suspension and a focused body kit that’s to be expected from any M vehicle. [source: Driving-Fun]
