Bmw receiving PathFindIR thermal imaging camera

The producer of the night vision system for Bmw, FLIR, will be present at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas the following week to showcase its latest PathFindIR thermal imaging camera. The firm claims that its system can distinguish oncoming headlights; functions well in cold temperature and can even see through smoke dust and fog. The camera, FLIR says, is patterned on a similar technology employed by the military to give a 360 degrees field view of the road to the front.
