Bmw wants to position its electric cars as premium vehicles

As you may know already, Bmw is currently developing its first family of electric cars collectively known as Project i which are expected to make quite a buzz in the automotive industry. It appears that the German manufacturer wants to position its forthcoming family of electric cars as premium vehicles. Of course, one of the factors in developing the vehicle would be if the buyers are ready to drop combustion engines in favor of electric power and to pay a considerable amount for a vehicle with a radical design. We must admit that this is a difficult thing to do because not all the buyers would move from a Bmw M3 to a 3-wheel electric vehicle with a radical design... [via autocar]
