Bmw is ready to break the security standards with its latest version of the famous X5- the X5 Security Plus, rating class 6 in bullet resistance. We can translate this in a perfect armour for whatever powerfull fire gun you would want to try on, be it a 44 Magnum or an AK-47 machine gun. The new X5 Security Plus claims to be the first vehicle in series production to offer such a high level of protection. The key elements used in its production are heavy-duty material and ballistics-resistant steel and 22mm-thick bullet-proof safety glass all around. The car features also other safety components such as a camera monitoring set-up and an intercom system and the passenger cell is specially designed to protect from crimes such as robbery, kidnapping or carjacking, being even capable of sustaining a blast from a small explosive. Under the hood the vehicle features yhe 4.4-liter V8 engine developing 355 hp and 475 Nm of torque, achieved at an engine speed of 3,400 rpm. With this amount of power the vehicle sprints from standstill to 100 km/h in just 8.2 seconds and has a top speed electronically limited to 180 km/h.
