Bmw’s front-wheel-drive 1-Series will debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show

According to the latest reports from Autocar, Bmw’s first front-wheel-drive model will make its debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, which will open its doors in September. Same sources say that the new model will be called 1-Series GT and will be company’s entry-level model. Still, the Paris Motor Show will see a concept version of the upcoming vehicle. The production of the new car is planned in late 2014. Set to take on the Mercedes-Benz B-Class, the new hatch will use firm’s new turbocharged 1.5-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine which will also be found on the next-generation MINI.
