Brabus Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG

Brabus, the well-known tuning company specialized in Mercedes-Benz vehicles, unveiled today its latest customization programme for the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. The new programme includes a front spoiler, designed to reduce lift on the front axle at high speeds, two Brabus covers for the upper air inlets designed to optimize cooling air supply, new air outlets for the front fenders featuring the blue-illuminated Brabus lettering, a new rear spoiler as well as a Brabus rear fascia element featuring custom-tailored cutouts for the four exhaust tips of the Brabus sport exhaust system. The kit is completed by the new Brabus Monoblock F Platinum Edition wheels, which are up to twelve percent lighter than the stock wheels. Also, Brabus added its high-adjustable smooth-ride suspension (Ride Control), which can lower the height of the car by up to 40 millimeters (1.6 inches) at the push of a button.

Brabus will soon offer its front lift system, which can raise the front of the car by 50 millimeters (2 inches) at the push of a button to safely navigate steep parking ramps or other obstacles. Under the hood we find the same standard 6.3-liter V8 engine fitted with a new Brabus titanium sports exhaust system with four slanted exhaust tips. The tips have a diameter of 84 millimeters (3.3 inches).

This exhaust system weighs 12 kilograms (26 lbs.) or 40 percent less than the production exhaust and adds an extra ten horsepower to the engine's output. The new exhaust system is controlled via a pneumatic bypass gate activated from the cockpit, offering several sound levels such as normal mode or coming home, designed to deliver a lower sound level that is quieter than the production exhaust. According to Brabus, a tuning kit for the engine will be available at a later date. Inside, we find exclusive accessories and masterfully crafted custom interiors. A new speedometer with 400-km/h scale (250 mph) already hints at the car's future performance with Brabus engine tuning. Furthermore, Brabus offers a new steering wheel, stainless-steel scuff plates with illuminated Brabus logo and matte anodized pedals. The Brabus upholstery shop creates fully custom interiors for the SLS from top-quality materials.
