Breaking News: Audi E-Tron Concept receives green light

As you may know already, the Audi e-Tron Concept was unveiled at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show and made quite a buzz. Today, Audi of America President Johan de Nysschen said in an interview for Autoweek, that an electric version based on the acclaimed concept will debut in the United States in two to three years. For those who don’t know, the e-Tron Concept is powered by four electric motors, one on each axle and has a range of 154 miles using a lithium ion battery. Producing 230 kW (313 hp) and 4,500 Nm (3,319.03 lb-ft) of torque, the two-seater accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (0 – 62.14 mph) in 4.8 seconds, and from 60 to 120 km/h (37.28 – 74.56 mph) in 4.1 seconds.
