Breaking News: Koenigsegg drops plans to buy Saab
This new just dropped in! It appears that Koenigsegg, the well-known Swedish car manufacturer, is stopping the deal buy Saab Automobile from General Motors.
“We’re obviously very disappointed with the decision to pull out of the Saab purchase. Many have worked tirelessly over the past several months to create a sustainable plan for the future of Saab by selling the brand.” said GM President and CEO, Fritz Henderson. As you may know already, back in June Koenigsegg, a small sports car firm with only 45 workers, was planning to take over a company with over 3,400 employees. Of course, we could think that this could be a strategy from GM… because all of you know that the Opel deal was also dropped by the American manufacturer!
