Bugatti Veyron Grand Super Sport coming to the 2012 Geneva Motor Show

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport

It appears that Bugatti is very serious about a Super Sport version of the Veyron Grand Sport as the French manufacturer already started to accept orders for this new vehicle. At least according to the Dutch website Autoblog.nl, who also says that the car will make its debut in March at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. Although we don’t have any details regarding the new car, we do expect to see the same specs as on the coupe version, which means the same 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged engine delivering 1200 hp (882 kW) and a maximum torque of 1,500 Nm.

Still, we don’t know if the car will have the same top speed of 415 km/h or 257 mph, as we are talking about a removable roof. For those who don’t know, the Veyron Super Sport has few small improvements comparing it with the standard version and we are talking about a skin made entirely of carbon-fibre composites, and the new Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport is available in 100 percent clear-lacquered exposed carbon on request.

The Veyron Super Sport has a 7-speed DSG gearbox and has a combined fuel consumption of 23.1l/100 km, while the fuel consumption in town reaches 37.2 l/100 km. The fuel consumption out of town is 14.9l/100 km. [source: Autoblog.nl]
