As the $4-plus gasoline will return, General Motors is planning to introduce small or compact cars for each brand. The word is that for the Buick brand, GM is planning to introduce the Verano compact car in 2012. Also, the manufacturer will introduce a hybrid version of the LaCrosse sedan in order to meet the fuel-efficiency standards. For those who don't know, the federal fuel-efficiency standards will rise to a fleet average of 35.5 mpg in the 2016 model year, a little bit too high we'd say comparing with 27.3 mpg in 2011. According to GM, gasoline prices will also rise to a level seen back in 2008.
