Boyacioglu can’t seem to hide his delight when Patrick got out of the Camaro SS and gave him the keys. This entire turnover is part of Chevrolet’s Find New Roads Trip project. Boyacioglu, who had been tracking the build of his 2016 Camaro SS, described the experience as surreal.

He said that while coming to a race at the Texas Motor Speedway with VIP treatment was already amazing, being able to drive the very first 2016 Camaro is unbelievable. In fact, Chevrolet has commenced shipment of the first batch of Camaro production models from the General Motors’ Lansing Grand River Assembly plant.

These models are expected to arrive at dealerships for customer delivery by mid-November. The first vehicles delivered to customers are coupes -- SS or LT models equipped with the 3.6L V-6 engine. Shipment of the Camaro Convertible and models powered by the 2.0L Turbo engine will commence early next year.

Featuring unprecedented levels of performance, refinement and technology, the Gen-Six Chevrolet Camaro offers can be availed at a starting price of $26,695 for the Camaro 1LT and $37,295 for the 1SS.

Depending on the models, the Camaro is available in six powertrain combinations -- 2.0L Turbo (standard) and, as options, the all-new 3.6L V-6 (LT models), and the 455-hp LT1 6.2L V-8 (SS models).

Customer could choose to mate their engines with either a six-speed manual gearbox or eight-speed automatic transmission. Chevrolet’s Find New Roads Trip project is an endeavor that celebrates the launch of five new Chevrolet vehicles – Camaro, Cruze, Malibu, Spark and Volt.

Chevrolet tapped celebrated guests to ride in 30 Camaros across the United States from October 19 to November 14, 2015. The tour aims to seek people and places that embody the spirit of Find New Roads.
