GM, following the steps of Chrysler in previewing its next generation 300 sedan and Jeep Grand Cherokee in its viability plan presented to the US Treasury today, also presented the final design of its impending Cadillac CTS Coupe. Available details concerning the CTS is that it would begin production early next year at GM's Lansing, Michigan factory. It was also shown in the viability plan that the CTS Coupe will come with a 3.6-liter V6 unit with 6-speed auto transmission. The CTS production version, as anticipated appears almost the same as the concept model revealed at the Detroit event last year. The Coupe's front face is shared with the CTS Sedan but the rear part is brand new and the doors highlight the same touch-pad releases which the Corvette utilized. The rear part of the car will be highlighted by its centrally installed exhaust stack, an almost flat rear window, and tall vertical rear lights.
