Mercedes-Benz has made an extraordinary statement in the medium class series with the release of its C-Class top-of-the-line model C63 AMG. The relatively small C63 AMG houses an engine bigger than the 6-liter V8. However, since the power yield is comparably low, Carlsson set in motion its hidden potential. With a power ceiling of 565hp, the CK63 speeds far ahead of its competitors leaving them all behind its stainless steel exhaust end pipes. Equipped with new wheels and more athletic aerodynamics, the C-Class series clearly demonstrates some top features. Carlsson CK63 is the embodiment of both performance and full torque. The performance kit used for the M156 drastically improves the serial performance of the 6.3-liter V8 from 457hp (336kW) at 6,800 rpm up to 565hp/414kW. In the same manner, the torque is appreciably improved from 600 to 685Nm giving the car only 3.8 seconds to accelerate from 0-100kph instead of the series standard of 4.5 seconds. Again, the engineers of Carlsson have proven their knowledge gained in motor sports. Included in the kits are, a special motor electronics version, a maximized speed reaching 300kph (which is limited electronically), a sport air filter and an impressive three-part Carlsson carbon motor cover including the compulsory Carlsson nameplate in chrome. Carlsson limits the speed ceiling to 300kph via an electronic device. The rear muffler not only delivers a massive sound from its powerful 565hp CK63 S-Kit but also delivers an extra boost of 15hp (11kW).
The Carlsson RS coil-over kit which was co-developed by Ellen Lohr offers a no-step height adjustment and provides a driving interface that has never been achieved before. The driver has more control over his preferences with the individually adjustable damping characteristics. The Carlsson C-Class provides the driver with a compromise-free ride with the comfort of its roadworthy suspension system and its racetrack capabilities. To increase traction and stability, especially when traversing bends at high speeds, Carlsson recommends fitting its torque-sensitive multi-plate limited slip differential with variable lock-up where lock-up values are produced according customer specifications. The Carlsson top-quality aerodynamic design consists of a front spoiler, the front spoiler lip RS and a Carlsson rear spoiler that provides greater stability at higher speeds.
All parts are made of the high-grade PUR or the optional real carbon. The styling kit not only provides an outstanding finish but also a unique design emphasizing the Carlsson's designer standard of always developing something better than its rivals. Weight optimization was the main focus of the engineers and designers of Carlsson when they developed the 1/16 UL light alloy wheels. The wheel spider absorbs all the forces the wheels are subjected to as distributed to it by the spokes. The positive results of this are thinner wheel walls and lower wheel weight. The most advanced forging technology has successfully reduced the weight of the wheel by 38% compared to ordinary wheels with the same load and dimension. Because of metal compression the impact of the forces are more evenly distributed as compared to a cast wheel. Such wheel design significantly improves driving comfort compared to the regular light alloy wheels. The forged Carlsson wheel 1/16 Ultra Light is available in the following sizes: 9.5x19inches (FA+RA) and 10x19inches (only RA) for the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG. According to customer specifications, Carlsson combines different parts and accessories for a personal custom-made mix, from a sport steering wheel to leather interiors or multi-media accessories. In the impressive car factory, the Carlsson CK63 S is also extensively customized. According to the desires of the buyer, unique specimens are made only with the highest quality materials.
