‘Cash for Clunkers’ program already a success

On the first 2 hours of eligibility of the Cash for Clunkers program, more than 4,000 vehicles were swapped. At this rate, the $950 million budget allocated by the government for these rebates would probably not make it to the projected deadline of November. If you’ve been meaning to take advantage of the program, there are 20,564 certified dealers in the US so it shouldn’t be that difficult for you to finally let go of your scrap heaps. Only about 250,000 rebates can be accommodated so don’t delay.
