Sao Paulo Motor Show: Dodge Trazo C1.8 ready to hit the market

Dodge Trazo C1.8Chrysler LLC starts a new segment in South America with the unveiling of the fresh Dodge Trazo C1.8 today at the Sao Paulo Motor Show. The Trazo C1.8 will be available in Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay as a four-door sedan with excellent value and fuel economy. Trazo C1.8 will be manufactured by Nissan Motor Co., giving Chrysler LLC a first-rate entry into these successful markets.

“The new Trazo C1.8 by Dodge allows us to enter into a segment in which we currently do not compete. The Trazo C1.8 offers customers a high-quality vehicle with great value and provides our dealers with further opportunities to expand their business,” said Mike Manley, Executive Vice President – International Sales, Marketing and Business Development, Chrysler LLC.

2008 Sao Paulo Motor Show: Chevrolet GPiX Concept

Chevrolet Gpix ConceptFor those of you who didn’t have the opportunity to reserve a short exotic holiday in Brazil for the Sao Paulo Motor Show we bring you fresh information from there. One of the special reveals came from General Motor (GM) who presented a new concept in Brazil, the Chevrolet GPiX crossover coupe, a possible new segment for the company in the Mercosur space. The new concept features a dynamic looks due to a daring front end highlighted by well known Chevrolet gold bowtie in the front grille and LED headlamps. At the exterior the car also features a panoramic glass roof, two-door body style with high ground clearance appropriate for the types of roads from the emerging markets.

Despite its sporty looks, at the interior the car gets 4 fold seats and, for a larger space, the floor panel is flat. The car has available complete modern and hi-tech entertainment systems like Bluetooth connectivity, hand-held computers, CD player and MP3 player and a new instrument panel with easy-to-read digital displays. 2008 Sao Paulo Motor Show: Renault Sand’up Concept

Renault Sand'up ConceptDue to the fact that today the 2008 Sao Paulo Motor Show started, Renault Design America Latina, the design center of Renault in Brazil, unveiled the Sand’up Concept, a new vehicle based on the Sandero Stepway (available for the moment only in Argentina and Brazil) which made its Brazilian debut this month. The new Sand’up Concept represents 3 vehicles in 1: a coupe, cabriolet and pick-up (the vehicle changes according to the desires of the passengers).

With its gray color, Sand’ up Concept evokes sophistication and robustness whereas the various inserts red underline underlines the sportivity of the vehicle. The front face of Sand’ up Concept is distinguished from the Sandero Stepway by the red line which makes the contour of the front bumper but also from the re-designed spoiler.

2008 Sao Paulo Motor Show: Fiat Concept Car (FCC) II

Fiat Concept Car II (FCC II)Last week we revealed you the so-called Fiat Bugster Concept that was going to debut at the Sao Paulo Auto Show. Well, we have great news: the Sao Paulo Auto Show started today and Fiat Bugster became the FCC II a.k.a. Fiat Concept Car. The new concept from the Italian manufacturer features an electric engine capable to develop 80 hp (59 kW) and 220 Nm of torque, using 93 lithium-ion batteries. The vehicle has a range of 100 km (62 miles), a small range comparing to the electric Porsche 911 developed by RUF.

The FCC II is 3.25 m long, has a width of 1.81 m, a height of 1.48 m, has a wheelbase of 2.16 m and weighs more than 980 kg. Unfortunately the vehicle features only one electric engine, but according to our sources Fiat could consider to use 4 electric engines, transforming the FCC II in a veritable 4×4 vehicle. Sao Paulo Motor Show: Renault unveils Sandero and Logan Sport

Renault Logan SportAs you may know already the Renault Logan is a huge success as well as it little brother, the Sandero. In order to offer some improvements for the drivers who like to drive the cars fast, the French manufacturer unveiled the sport edition for the two vehicles.

Both vehicles feature the yellow color that the manufacturer uses it on its RS models and the Renault Sport logos. The new kits include new front bumper, side sills, rear roof spoiler, rear bumpers featuring air diffusers and new stylish grey alloy wheels. The new vehicles will make their debut at the Sao Paulo Motor Show. According to the manufacturer the vehicles will be first available in Brazil but if everything will be ok we will see these yellow racers also in Europe! Photos after the jump!

Fiat Bugster Concept to debut at Sao Paulo Motor Show

Fiat Bugster ConceptFiat developed a new concept -Fiat Bugster- which will be unveiled at the bi-annual Sao Paulo Motor Show taking place between 30th of October and 10th of November.

The greenish two-seater model was built by the Fiat’s division in Brazil and it is powered by a zero-emissions electric engine with the body made of entirely renewable natural fibers. For now you can only see some shoots of the friendly eco car. Photos after the jump!
