Audi S5 Cabrio Michelle Edition by MTM

MTM Audi S5 Michelle EditionA special edition Audi S5 Cabrio has been revealed by the tuners at MTM. Dubbed the Michelle Edition, the car received modifications to the engine electronics, suspensions, brakes and wheels. Moreover, the special edition tuning program has a few body elements highlighted in red.

The S5 Cabrio ”Michelle Edition” has been fitted with MTM’s exclusive 9-spoke Bimoto MTM rims in 10.5 x 21’’ with 295/25 21 Michelin tires. The car is upgraded with a handmade MTM exhaust system for maximum flow-rate and efficiency and 380 X 34 mm MTM-Brembo brakes with 8 piston calipers. The special edition S5 Cabrio’s 3.0 TFSI V6 engine is equipped with both M-Cantronic and V-Cantronic units, raising the performance numbers up to 430 hp (317 kW) and 515 Nm maximum torque with a top speed of 287 km/h. Pricing for the engine upgrades range from 800 to 3,075 Euros (for the 430 horsepower M-Cantronic version). Installation will cost 125 Euros for all versions. Overall pricing of the Michelle Edition package has yet to be announced. Photo gallery after the jump!

Audi A5/S5 Cabrio by B&B

Audi A5 Cabrio B&BAfter we saw their Audi Q7, B&B decided to show us its new tuning program for the Audi A5 /S5 Cabriolet. The new program includes some amazing numbers, such as 415 hp and 520 Nm for the Audi A5 Cabriolet with a 3.0TFSI engine but this is not all.

The diesel-powered A5 Cabriolet 3.0TDI will reach up to 325 hp and 640 Nm as it follows: the first stage upgrades the ECU and the boost pressure of 0.15bar and gives it 280 hp and 585 Nm (EUR 1.198,-); the second stage reaches 300 hp and 600 Nm (EUR 1.298,-); the 3rd stage, due to special unit-injector elements in addition to changes to the suction pipe, the airflow and the air cooling system this engine reaches 325 hp and 640 Nm for EUR 3.950. Audi S5 Sportback and its red tuxedo at the Frankfurt Motor Show

Audi S5 Sportback IAAAudi’s new S5 Sportback made quite a big splash at the ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show. The car is confirmed to be entering production in the spring of 2010. It uses the same 328bhp supercharged V6 as the S4 saloon. The S5 Sportback likewise gets quattro permanent four-wheel drive and a seven-speed twin-clutch S-tronic gearbox as standard.

To be offered as optional is Audi’s Sport differential, which actively distributes drive between the car’s rear wheels. Audi claims that the S5 Sportback would be able to accelerate to 62mph in 5.4sec and achieve 155mph maximum speed. The car is slated to arrive in the dealerships at the beginning of the next summer. 2010 Audi S5 Sportback makes its debut in Frankfurt

Audi s5 SportbackThis is the Audi S5 Sportback, which has just been formally announced to be priced at €57,900. It is fitted with the blown 3.0L V6 that’s standard kit in the S4, available in the A6, and will shortly replace the V8 as the motivator under the S5 coupe’s hood. Declared standard for the Sportback is the Quattro as well as the seven-speed S tronic twin-clutch gearbox.

At extra cost, a sport differential can be added. Other standard S-car bits include the metallic-finished mirrors, quad pipes, S-design wheels and polished vertical grille slats. Basically, it’s the S5 with two extra doors and a hatchback. The Sportback demonstrates that a standard model can be turned into a sporty hatch without going all Crosstour. Power from the V6 is 333hp and 324 lb-ft, allowing for a 5.4-second acceleration to 62 mph (100 km/h) and an electro-powered 155-mph top speed. The car is capable of more than 24 mpg. Audi S5 Sportback announced for the Frankfurt Motor Show

Audi S5 SportbackAudi prepares to make a big splash at the Frankfurt Motor Show and has three models for public debuts during the event — the S5 Sportback, the A4 3.0TDI clean diesel quattro and the A3 1.2 TFSI.

It’s believed that Audi is planning to bring in as a surprise one or three models too. The S5 Sportback, which is obviously an A5 Sportback derivative, is famous for its five-door coupé configuration and its engine – a 3.0-liter V6 fitted with a supercharger. It makes 245kW (333hp) and 440Nm of torque between 2,900rpm and 5,300rpm and allows the car to go from 0 - 100km/h in 5.4 seconds with a top speed of 250km/h. Average fuel consumption is a provisional 9.7 liters per 100km (24.25 mpg US). Continued after the jump!

Audi A5/S5 Cabrio U.K. pricing announced

2010 Audi S5 CabrioDeliveries for Audi’s supercharged S5 Cabriolet begin in October. Priced from £42,245, the drop-top S5 replaces the A4 cabriolet and gets a 329bhp supercharged V6 TFSI in place of the naturally aspirated V8.

A seven-speed S tronic gearbox is standard and the S5 is available with an optional sport differential that varies torque not only between front and rear axles, but also between each rear wheel. Car can go from 0-62mph in 5.6 seconds and top speed is limited to 155mph, while the S5 returns a combined mpg 29.1 and produces 224g/km of CO2.The hood opens in 15 seconds and closes in 17, and can complete both operations at speeds of up to 31mph.

Caractere Audi A5/S5 CabrioThe tuning specialist Caractere has come up with an attractive body package for the latest Audi A5 and S5 Cabrio. A more menacing front bumper is the distinctive feature of the new package. The bumper comes with gigantic air intake vents and built-in fog lights.

At the rear, the sporty character continues with the aggressive Caractere rear air diffuser with integrated tailpipe exhaust tips as option. Unique CW1 19 and 20 inch wheels are offered. Next-generation of Audi S4 and S5 getting lighter and powered by four-cylinder engines

Audi S5The next generation S5 Coupe will be the recipient of Audi’s wide-ranging use of aluminum and other light materials in its construction of its models. Because of this the 2014 S5 will cut its weight by up to 880 lbs (399 kg) in contrast to the current version.

Although there are other factors that certainly contributed to this amazing weight loss, the main factor however is the lightweight body construction and the size of the powerplant. For instance, the present TT’s chassis is made up of 69 percent aluminum while the succeeding model year 2012 A6 will come with a higher percentage of lightweight materials in its body construction. The succeeding A4 and A5/S5 versions will likewise come with more aluminum in their design structures. Continued after the jump!

ABT AS5-R based on the Audi S5

ABT Audi AS5-RAs you may know already, ABT had plenty of success with the AS5 and that’s why the company decided to reveal its news AS5-R. Based on the Audi S5, the more powerful vehicle comes with the ABT Power R engine management and with the help of a new ABT Compressor the power is increased with an impressive 156 hp bringing the total amount to 510 hp (375 kW).

With these numbers the vehicle can sprint to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 292 km/h. The vehicle features also an ABT braking system with 380 millimeters disc diameter which provides maximum deceleration even in extreme circumstances as well as a new ABT Coil-over suspension system.The new body kit of the car includes a front spoiler, a front grille, inner fender skirt and the gill-shaped air inlets, side sills and a rear skirt featuring a 4-pipe rear muffler. 2010 Audi A5 & S5 Cabriolet: full details revealed

2010 Audi A5 CabrioAlthough due to be unveiled in January at the 2009 NAIAS the Audi A5/S5 Cabriolet was revealed today in almost complete detail. The S5 Cabriolet, the most exciting model, receives a new supercharged 3.0L TFSI V6 engine with direct injection, enough for 333 hp (245kW) and 324lb-ft (440 Nm) of torque.

The S5 Cabrio is catapulted to range leader position with the Quattro all-wheel drive, a sport suspension and 18in wheels plus a range of special equipment. Acceleration time from standstill to 62 mph (100 km/h) is 5.6 seconds, and an electronically limited maximum speed of 155 mph (250 km/h) and still copes with fuel efficiency of 24.5 mpg (9.6 L/100km).
