2010 Bmw X1 at the Frankfurt Motor Show

Friday, September 18th, 2009

2010 Bmw X1 IAAThe X1 SUV, which will go on sale in the in October, makes its public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The BMW X1 will, in effect, replace the X3 at the base of BMW’s SUV range when the second generation of that model arrives in 2010.

Priced from €24,500, the X1 will let buyers have the option to get either the standard rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. It’s something that has prompted BMW officials to describe it as “more a crossover than an off-roader.” The X1 also has an estate car-like styling. Rather than an upright, rugged look of traditional SUVs, the X1 went for a somewhat low and rakish profile that has similarities with BMW’s latest design lineage. Continued after the jump!

Bmw X1 TeaserThe German carmaker BMW has published a new teaser of the X1 compact SUV via its Facebook account. The photo is blurry and it’s a real challenge making up the lines of the new car. The new vehicle was recently caught with a very light camouflage and as you can see from the photos the design is almost the same found on the X1 Concept showcased at last year’s Paris Motor Show. New Bmw X1 teasers hit the web

Friday, June 5th, 2009

Bmw X1 TeaserThe German carmaker will be releasing several new model in the next two years which will also consist of new versions of its present best sellers and even some model that have never yet been seen. In this regard, the Bmw X1 belongs to the last of these classifications.

It will bring the automaker into the world of compact SUVs, a world ruled by SUVs like the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4. BMW released official photos of the car, and although it is still under a camouflage, some of its essential elements can be clearly seen. This includes an undisguised grill and new sporty bumpers on both ends. The front and rear lights are similar to the 5-Series GT and 7-Series sedan, correspondingly, both of which were unveiled recently. The current X1, as seen from available photos is obviously faithful to the general lines of the X1 Concept model which was exhibited at the Paris Motor Show the previous year.
