Ings, the Japanese tuning firm and producer of bespoke aero parts, has unwrapped a bodykit for the current generation Subaru Impreza WRX STI. The current kit is part of its N-SPEC lineup of bodykits, which comprises a kit planned categorically for use in the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X. Apart from tuning cars, Ings is also taking part in the Japanese Super Taikyu racing competition, and the N-SPEC lineup of bodykits are patterned from the race vehicles employed in the contest.
The Impreza WRX STI kit comprises a bespoke front bumper made to match a new grill providing the vehicle a more robust look while heightening downforce. Individualized front canards go with these alterations, while bespoke sideskirts and a fresh rear bumper can also be seen on the ings-readied Impreza WRX STI. Also available are fog lamp attachment and cover to go with the OEM fog lights on the hatch. The individualized front bumper, sideskirts and rear bumper are all offered optionally in fiberglass or a ‘hybrid aero’ fiberglass material. Hybrid aero fiberglass keeps the affirmative attributes of typical fiberglass, counting lightness and toughness, as well as adopting characteristics like elasticity and robustness generally connected with materials such as urethane or plastic. In the meantime, the front canards and the bespoke front grill are offered in both lightweight carbon-fiber and the least expensive fiberglass. Individual piece of the kit can be purchased singly, but the bespoke front bumper, side skirts and rear bumper can be purchased as a three-in-one aero pack from Ings. The kit in fiberglass costs $2,082 and the hybrid aero fiberglass costs $2,414. Photo gallery after the jump!
