Hans-Jürgen Abt exclaims: “If you wish to experience value for money in the compact class, you won’t be able to ignore the new Golf VI.” The managing director of the planet’s largest customizer of vehicles in the VW Group has been allured by the latest variant of the Wolfsburg “evergreen.” “The new Golf is an outstanding basis for our designers and technicians - and they’ve already succeeded in creating five awe-inspiring predecessor series.” The Kempten Company developed an athletic pack for the ABT Golf VI which is ideally targeted to ABT’s improvement in performance and vehicle parts.

Hans-Jürgen Abt claims that their “Golf shows that driving fun and ecological points of view do not exclude each other.” He also underscored the 1.4 TSI, which is currently offered in two stages of expansion: the typical 122 hp /90 kW is converted into 160 hp /118 kW, and the more potent variant generated a significant 200 hp /147 kW for the street in place of the meager 160 hp /118 kW. The “little” direct injection engine thus generates nearly as much as the next big sized series aggregate, the 2.0 TSI, but utilizes lesser fuel. The key word here is “downsizing”, explained Hans-Jürgen Abt. However, the Allgau company is also making available a potent pack for the 2.0 FSI: 210 hp /154 kW which will then become 240 hp /176 kW for the exceptionally power-hungry enthusiasts. Hans-Juergen Abt remembers: “The very first Scirocco was the absolute star amongst compact sport coupes.” The administrator of the famous car tuner is just as enthralled with the offspring of the Wolfsburger innovator: “The Scirocco looks really dynamic and the handling is very agile.” Even more so with the Kempten revisions. They really stir things up a bit. The ABT Front spoiler makes the distinctive face of the coupe even more unique.

Even while on stand still it is apparent who the track or street leader is, as the ABT Scirocco appear to be starving for the kilometers in front of it. This feeling is maintained by the fine lines on both sides, where the ABT Side skirts take up and carry on the smooth structural design. The pointed air inlets and edges in the doors emphasize the vitality of the bodywork which rises at the rear. The ABT Volkswagen Scirocco appears ferocious and very vibrant. The view from the rear is also remarkable. The ABT Rear skirt package, composed of a rear skirt and a diagonally attached 4-pipe rear muffler, shapes an athletically aggressive vehicle along with the ABT Rear wing and the ABT Rear panel. ABT Sportsline always starts something worth seeing and this is especially true for the new vehicle full-foil, which this well-known custom maker from the Allgäu region now makes available. In any case, the innovative synthetic material gives an additional personal touch and an overwhelmingly exhilarating appearance. The total vehicle bodywork is covered with tremendous precision up to the last edge or angle. The result is perfection of every single part and detail, providing unsurpassed quality finish.

Finishing with matt Carbon Film, which the Kempten Company offers for the versions AS4, AS7 and the super sports car ABT R8, is particularly exciting. The foil is also offered, of course, for the regular Audi series A4, Q7 and R8. The matt Carbon Film is quite difficult to distinguish from real carbon, that is, the texture of the carbon fiber is synthetically reproduced. Says Hans Hans-Jürgen Abt, Managing Director of ABT Sportsline, “When the vehicle is fully wrapped in Carbon Film, it appears more aggressive and dynamic.” Carbon, after all, is an exceptionally stable material that causes weight cutback in professional motor sport. Although ABT’s Carbon Film does not have this quality, the extravagant wrapping significantly costs less.

Yesterday we saw the Vw Scirocco by Oettinger, a good looking tuning kit which really surprised us. Today ABT, the great tuner specialized in German vehicles, unveiled its tuning kit for the Scirocco. The new kit includes an ABT front grill, a redesigned front bumper, new side sills featuring stylish air inlets , a new rear skirt and wing and a diagonally attached 4-pipe rear muffler, just like the Lexus IS-F. The new sets of BR or AR alloy wheels, available in 18 to 20 inch dimensions, complete this stylish tuning kit.

The stability of the vehicle is improved due to the new suspension system which lowers the Scirocco with up to 30 millimeters. The new ABT body kit for the Scirocco will be launched in January 2009 at a price of 5,990 Euros of $8,290.
